生活點滴在義大利

回想這半年的義大利實習體驗,在腦海裏留下最深刻的是他們的工作態度、生活、上下班碰到的人事物之類的細瑣事。

在生活上,從一開始看到義大利同事無法開口聊天的我,到後來用七成的英語和三成簡單的義大利文和他們做簡單的聊天。這過程有如登上月球一樣感動,連住在宿舍的總監和超級市場的相熟的店員都很開心看到我的進步,總算不用雞同鴨講。

尤其是宿舍的總監,我們總是暱稱他為『老爹』,因為我們在宿舍碰到的生活問題都要仰賴老爹來幫我們解決。他把我們當成自己的孩子來照顧,一直問我衣物夠不夠暖,有沒有吃飽,讓我感到一絲絲的溫暖。

公司附近有一間Bar,有時候早上會去吃早餐。剛開始,Bar的老闆看到東方臉孔都會很好奇搭訕聊天,不過我只能用點頭和搖頭回應。後來,老闆旁邊的女侍應生看不下去,用簡單的英文試圖溝通。我們才能開始互相聊天,她告訴我義大利人的早餐咖啡喝什麼要配搭吃什麼,順帶教我那個食物的義大利名字是什麼,上下班經過這間Bar都會和裏面的人打招呼。有幾次碰到同事,他在coffee break time告訴我,他還說老闆他們很喜歡我,叫我有事沒事多去坐坐陪他們聊天。

下班等公車的時候碰到一個老爺爺想要聊天,他知道我的義大利語的程度有限,但是還是很有耐性地聽完每一句話,甚至還鼓勵我,一句一句義大利文慢慢教我慢慢說。我們聊得很開心,差點錯過回家的公車。老爺爺還說只要下班碰到我都會和我用簡單的義利文聊聊天,希望我的義大利文進步。

在這半年的義大利實習,除了見識到義大利的工作態度,也開始學會了享受義式生活。從小到大,都是看媽媽不停地在工作,甚少喘口氣休息,來到義大利看到他們重視工作和休閒時間的平衡感到驚訝,比如說,同事如果晚上下班後聚會,都會異口同聲表示希望晚上八點前結束,因為他們會希望可以早點回家陪老婆和孩子。帶我的同事最近孩子出生後,每天都趕回家看孩子,甚至開口對我們說抱歉沒辦法經常帶著我們,因為他真的很想快點回家看孩子。

雖然Mysond並不是我的實習公司,但是感謝他們依然用心地照顧我。經過這次實習,至少讓我知道我喜歡的是什麼工作,長輩常說還沒找到自己的興趣前,要把能力補強,這樣當你碰到自己喜歡的工作是什麼,就可以緊緊地抓住它。我相信這半年的歷練,不只讓自己的能力有所增長,也讓自己的個性有所成長。

我知道這個世界很大,藉著TIP出走台灣,進入義大利,更加發現這個世界真的很寬闊,讓我更想去探索這個世界,體驗不同的人生與文化,希望總有一天可以找到自己的一席之地。

Over six month’s periods, I finally finished internship programs. Recall the memories; it was just like the dream. First, I really appreciated that Professor Hsu offers me a chance to join this program.

Before graduated, I was confused about my future and career. After discussing with my mentor, I decided to take a Gap year to find out my life direction. Some people may doubt that I take a lot of effort leaving the familiar place, but living in another unfamiliar country. Except experiencing culture shock what I can get in the half year?

Well…as the saying goes, “Never try, never know.” I won’t tell you it is worthy or not. I did meet a lot of problems in Italy such as language’s barriers, safety’s problem, difference values, difference cultures and racial discrimination. However, those problems would solve when you adapt the environment. And the funniest thing is I making new friends because of my poor Italian. After communication, most of them would respect both side’s values and cultures. If Italians have questions, they would ask directly. Over a period of time, you will get use to be the lifestyle in Italy.

When I came back home, I still miss everything in Italy…the view in Italy, the people meet in Italy, and the place in Italy. At least, I won’t regret the choice I made. If I have time, I will visit it again.

Sometimes, you have to walk out your life, and then you will realize that life is always full of surprise.

The main activity of my internship is helping the tutor to search the supplier in China. Every time the raw material I search is different. It depends on the requirement of the customer. The product of categories is wide varieties. When I found enough suppliers, I would make a list of priority and send to the tutor. The tutor decided which supplier I should contact. Then I start to bargain the better price with the supplier. If my job is finished and waiting for the next mission, I would help colleagues or help the other internship to finish his job. For example, finding some information or translate some sentence……etc.

I want to know the operation of company. And I expected to know more about the kind of industry. For instance, Brantabee is an industrial design company. If I work into the environment, I could know the skin of the industry. I don’t need to know the details. I am glad that I could use the procurement skill and use what I learnt in the university. However, I really expected to know more the area that I never contact.

At the first month of internship, I worked on a specific project called BeorBuy. This is the picture of the platform.

Tutor explained what project they are working on. They wanted to make a platform for buyer and seller that similar as Alibaba.com. , so my tutor asked me to search suppliers and invite them to register the platform. And when the growth rate of platform is in mature, they will sell the project.

Firstly, I find few platforms to know the keywords of some industries. Then, I type the keywords on Google search and then select the supplier I need.Also, some companies’ linkages have related companies.

Secondly, I start to send invitation email to those suppliers. Avoiding my invitation email is deleted as junk mail. The title and content of mail I wrote specifically to the supplier. If they don’t want to register, I also please them to reply the email and leave the reason. I could track the number of suppliers and improve the content of invitation email to lower my rejected rate.
