TIP計劃(台灣義大利國際職場實習計畫)相較短期的歐洲旅遊,能讓我們更瞭解歐洲人的習慣、文化、飲食及生活,透過五個月與同事長時間的相處,我們能真正瞭解當地人日常生活、受歡迎的當地餐館等等,而不再只是去網路上受歡迎的觀光餐廳,這對建立自身品味很有幫助,因為看得多而不再人云亦云。

來到歐洲若對小事常保持觀察力及好奇心,你會學到很多。因為到國外你會發現有些東西是較便利的、較不便利的,這時你若詢問同事或當地人,你會發現較不便利的地方因為他們傳統或習慣的方式而存在,若想以較有效率的方案解決,在當地則不一定可行。這也讓我們學到因地制宜的經營模式。

這次的實習計畫,我來到Brantabee公司,認識了許多熱情的同事,也因為這些同事的緣故,更加瞭解義大利。我在Brantabee這家工業設計公司負責收集台灣及中國市場的3D印表機製造商及工業設計公司資料,並替公司找出合適的合作夥伴。過程中,Tutor會藉機跟我們講解實務的運作以及企業形象識別系統(Corporate Identity System, CIS)的概念,讓我對品牌的建立有更深的一層認識。

義大利的美食文化則是本次實習最意料之外、卻也收穫最多的經驗。由於同事對於“吃”很有研究,我們跟著他的腳步去認識義大利美味。義大利人重視食材的原味,擅長將不同的食材結合出令人驚訝的美味。他們的食物乍看之下沒台灣的擺盤豐盛、口味強烈,但細細品嚐後會發現各個食材的味道都調性分明、層次豐富,卻又彼此融合,這是與台灣很不同的地方。

義大利人具有敏銳的味蕾,我想這與他們從小的生長環境與紅酒文化有關。義大利與我們想的不同,一般人都會認為歐洲物價高昂,但實際走訪當地超市會發現食材其實不比台灣貴、有的甚至更便宜,而真正昂貴的是餐廳及外食的花費,所以義大利的家庭主婦往往都燒了一手好菜。便宜、高品質的食材讓人們從小就對自然食材有著不同程度的認識;各產區的品質認證,讓消費者可輕鬆辨別產品的等級;飲用紅酒的文化及各產區風格各異的紅酒也再次訓練人們的味蕾,我想這就是為什麼義大利人具有敏銳味蕾的原因吧。此趟旅程不僅讓我們回憶滿滿、也收穫滿滿,我想在這5個月對歐洲人文更深入的瞭解便是所謂的國際觀吧,也期待回台灣後能跟更多朋友們分享。

TIP (Taiwan Italy International Internship Program) makes us more realize the habit, culture, food and lifestyle of Europe. It gives us more opportunity to experience the lifestyle and the local famous restaurant than other short-term Europe travel.

I experienced the journey and build my horizon by myself rather than just tried the popular restaurant that blogger suggested on the Internet. It will help us to build our taste and confident.

You will learn more if you keep observe and be curious on detail in Europe. Living in Europe, you will feel different lifestyle, something is more convenient than Taiwan, but something is not. However, if you feel something inconvenient, just ask your colleague or local people, you will find that the reason is they have their own traditional and habit. I realized that when we met some problem in different place, we can’t just solve it in the same way. Localization is an important concept on business.

In TIP, I had an internship in Brantabee and met many friendly colleagues who taught me a lot of knowledge about culture, food and wine. My job is to search the market of 3D printer manufacture and industrial design companies in Taiwan and China and to find out the partner for brantabee. In the process of the internship, my tutor told us the practice on business and the concept of CIS ( Corporate Identity System) by chance. It made me deeply know how to build a brand.

The Italian food culture is the most impressive experience in my internship. Because my colleague has good taste at “food” and we followed him to taste Italian food. Italian pay much attention to the original taste of ingredients and they are good at making fantasy taste by a few of ingredient. They don’t have many different kinds of way to present food and strong taste, but if you taste delicately, you will find that Italian food is harmonious and multilevel flavor. This is the most different part from Taiwan.

Italian have sensitive taste buds and I think it is relate to their life background and the culture of red wine. Italy is different from my thought. I always think that the price of Europe is higher than Taiwan, but when I lived in Italy, I found the price of ingredient in the supermarket is not always expensive than Taiwan, sometimes even cheaper. With cheap but high quality ingredient, it makes Italian have a conception of ingredients at young age; with the quality certification of various regions, it is easy for customers to identify the level of products; with the culture of drinking red wine and the various region of red wine with different taste style, it makes Italian’s taste more delicate. I think that is why Italian have sensitive taste buds. The journey is not only full of memories, but also full of harvest. I think that is my international perspective to deeply understand the cultural of Europe in the five months. I am willing to share the experience with my friend when I back to Taiwan.
