   Alla Posta dei Donini 實習生 東海大學外文五洪同學

                                                                義大利生活                                                               

   用一句話概括在義大利的半年,是一段給自己摸索嘗試的自由時光。在Alla Posta dei Donini實習的日子裡,參與了飯店的大型開幕活動、更新了餐廳的菜單、佈置了飯店聖誕樹、包裝了數十個聖誕禮物、歸檔了幾年的飯店資料,了解到飯店的運作方式與行銷模式,儘管飯店的地理位置不在觀光區,廣大的人脈與奢華舒適的設備,讓Donini的日常都在忙碌中度過。我們的第一份工作並不順利,準備兩個禮拜簡報後寄到旅行社,卻沒有消息,這讓我瞭解到不同領域與國家工作生態的不同,也很感謝Tutor願意給我們機會去嘗試。我想我會永遠記得搭上E路線公車,窗外的美景,進到辦公室的每一聲精神的Ciao! Buongiorno! 等著廚房道地美味的午餐邊聽著談笑聲、飯後慵懶愛撒嬌的小黑貓...,從一開始在餐桌上怯生生的嘗試用英文與同事溝通,到最後用簡單的義文討論食物、自己的國家,在這裡的分秒是如此的平凡卻又與眾不同。


 踏遍義大利歐洲大大小小的城市,偶爾一群人出遊,偶爾一人遠行,熱鬧刺激的拿坡里,炙熱的卡布里島、莊嚴的阿西西、海風吹拂的熱那亞、白雪覆蓋的米蘭,有時放慢步調、有時拔腿趕車,到最後發現,旅行中對我來說最重要的—是人。還記得在拿坡里山上邀請我們參加單身派對的賽車手、載我們去天空之城的阿西西餐廳經理、總是幫助招待我們的Giovanni、史特拉斯堡陪我們觀光的爺爺、黑森林裡順道載我一程的德國媽媽、還在斯洛維尼亞見了一位許久未見的好友,每一次的相遇,都是一段無法忘懷的故事,不過最愛的,還是這屆參加計劃的各位,我們一起煮飯、聊天、出遊、上課、參加派對,每晚相聚都有數不盡的精采故事需要分享,我們盡全力得充實生活的每分每秒,而遇到所有困難,沒有一次不是大家聚在一起共同面對,或許計畫不如預期,在這遇到的人們是預料外的美好收穫。

 

   在義大利的生活更堅定了我的夢想,他們對食材的講究,與料理方式的執著,讓我再品嚐一道道佳餚時只有驚豔,簡單的調味與新鮮的食材,讓人吃到食材的原味卻又沒有負擔,這也是為什麼強調有機健康的超市能夠在經濟不景氣的義大利受到歡迎,逛有機超市是我在義大利生活的一大樂趣,學習著各食材的義大利文,邊看著食物標籤,琳琅滿目的商品,有的不含麩質、有的不含蛋奶、不含精糖,滿足不同族群與重視健康的消費者,相較之下台灣的選擇較少,較少生產有機商品的公司,多半需仰賴進口,在義大利的這段時間,讓我未來想在相關的食品產業公司工作,並希望有機會自己創業。

  

   計畫已告一個段落,接下來回到台灣將迎接下一個人生階段,比起半年前對未來的忐忑與沒有頭緒,在這半年來默默的規劃後,取而代之的是對未來夢想的期待,就好比旅行,儘管免不了擔心,再一步步的規劃與尋找資料後,便有上路的勇氣,而路途上有時遇見不懷好意的人、有時因大意而錯過火車、有時候必須獨自解決問題,意料之外的事時刻考驗著應變能力,但沿路上的美景風光、每個溫暖的際遇,卻督促著我繼續向前,這是在義大利的時光裡交給我的一堂課。

 

 

Life in Italy

 

  To sum up my life in Italy, it’s a period of time for exploring and adventure. During my internship in Alla Posta Dei Donini, I anticipated to the SPA opening party, adopted the restaurant menu, decorated the Christmas tree, packaged the Christmas gifts and reorganized the hotel documents. All the work help me to understand how the hotel works and their marketing strategy. Even though the hotel is not in the city center, their social network and luxurious facility keep them occupied and hectic every day.  Our first task didn’t go as planned. we prepared a presentation and tried to get in touch with Taiwan and China’s agencies. However, they didn’t reply. I learned the differences between different fields and working environments. I’m grateful that our tutor gave us the chance to try and learn from this experience.

 

  I will always remember my life here in Alla Posta dei Donini. The beautiful scenery on the way to the hotel, every Buongiorno! Ciao! from our colleagues, the delicious lunch in the kitchen, and the lazy kitten in the garden.  From the start, we tried to communicate in English with our colleagues. Now we can talk about food and our country in Italian. The daily life here is both ordinary and unique.

 Traveling around many cities and towns in Italy is an amazing experience. Sometimes I go with groups, sometimes alone. After traveling to all these places, I found that the people I met and choose to be with are the most important things while traveling. I remember the sport car racer who asked us to the bachelor party in Napoli, the restaurant manager in Assisi who gave us a ride to Civita di bangnoreggio, the French grandpa who took us sightseeing in Strasbourg, the German lady let me hitchhike in the dark forest, and visiting an old friend from four years ago in Slovenia. Every encounter turns into an unforgettable memory. However, the people I love the most, are the friends in the program. We spent days together cooking, chatting, traveling, clubbing and attending courses. There are countless stories to update every night that we cherish every second during our stay in Italy. Together, we faced and solved many problems and obstacles. Perhaps the program didn't go as it planned, I’m lucky to have this big family that always be there for me. 

 

  The life in Italy nourished my dream. Their attitude towards food, ingredients, and cuisine impressed me the most. Simple cooking and fresh ingredients create dishes that are both delicious and healthy. This is probably the reason why organic health food industry becomes more and more prosperous in Italy.  Shopping in organic supermarkets is my biggest hobby in daily life. I like to wander around markets and look through products to products. Not only learn Italian but also the ingredients of the food. Various food choices such as gluten-free, dairy-free and sugar-free products satisfy variety groups of customers. Compare to Taiwan, we have fewer choices and companies which produce these products. Because of this experience in Italy, I’m even more eager to work in the health food industry in Taiwan and hopefully start my own business in the future.

 

  The program has come to an end. Soon we are going to open a new page in life. Compare with half years ago, the girl who was nervous and uncertain, I’m now excited and looking forward to my future.  Life is like traveling. We all feel nervous before the journey. However, after planning ahead steps by steps, you will gain the courage to take off. On the journey, you might encounter someone unpleasant. Or maybe you miss your train and stuck in the middle of nowhere.  Sometimes you have no choice but to face the difficult situation alone. Even though unpredictable things happened and test our mind and wellness, every warm acquaintance and incredible scenery along the way motivate me to keep going. This is the best lesson I’ve learned from this program.
