Time flies, I remember it was just yesterday that we arrived in Perugia. And now, everybody is packing and all ready to go on separate to continue their journey. I still remember when I first got here. I didn't know anyone and was really neverous about if I'm going to get along with everyone. And it turned to be awesome. It was absolutely nothing to be worry about. Everyone is so nice and friendly. In fact, I feel like the most amazing part in this internship is the fact that I'm getting the chance to know this group of amazing people. Every night, we gather together and chat. We all have different story to tell. It was always interesting to hear what happened I. People's life. And when there is trouble, we all faced it together like a group. You can feel the team spirit. Also, when in dorm, you will never be starving. There is always surprised dishes which prepared by roommates. Everyone becomes master chef. It's always a joy to spend time with them. It's just amazing that people start from completely stranger to now like family to each other.
We stayed five months in Assisi tourism center. Every month, we felt different about the city. It's the same small city but there is always some new story which take place in every corner of Assisi. Inside the wall, there is about a thousand habitants. And we are Assisi daily worker. Of course we get to know many of them. Everyday, when we arrive the station of Assisi, we walk in the tabaaco shop to buy bus ticket. And there is always the genitor who greets passionately with us. And in their eyes, we are strange Asians who always practice kungfu and stretch legs in the station. Italian are always super friendly and smiley. At least, that's how I feel in Assisi. At the tourism center, we start from knowing nothing to being able to give a tour about Assisi. It is those small accomplishments that I gain by helping tourists everyday which make me now a much more confidence person. In winter, even though there is not much tourists, we still get to translate the city map into Chinese. It's not always easy to translate the map, because there are many special terms that we need to understand the history background to find the corresponding word in Chinese. And they even decide to print our name on the Chinese map. So now even though we are no longer in Assisi, our name will remain for years.
Our life experience in Italy is also unforgettable. There are many festival and event which take place in Perugia and Assisi. The first one is Chocolate Festival. I went there everyday to enjoy the vibe. Everyone had smile on their face. Chocolate is the cure for sadness. And then, we have the medieval festival in Gualdo Tatino and St. Francesco day in Assisi. These are the best events that I've ever participated. It felt like you cross the time and went back to 14th century. The music and the costume are both amazing. You can never find a second country like Italy. A country that is like wine. Classic and charm in the same time.
